The Camorra World Servers

We wish to thank all members who donated! Largely because of you, Camorra World now has an extensive network of servers with enough capacity to allow for further growth of the game! This page gives you an overview of these servers, and the status of each of the servers. The status will be refreshed every 5 minutes.

Imagine a filing cabinet with 25,000 customer files (250 characteristics per customer), a couple million envelopes and a million Post-Its. This machine will find the correct Post-It, search for the corresponding envelope and put it in the file of that customer. 40 times per second, 24/7! The safe of Camorra World, containing each and everyone's data. Only accessible by its smaller brothers and from acouple of addresses in Naples. It makes copies of everything, so even in the worst case scenario data will be saved. Furthermore it makes backups twice daily, which it passes to its accomplice.

Normally you will 'enter' Camorra World through this machine. But beware, if it were ever to be passed out on the sofa, then try to reach one of his twins at www2.camorraworld.nl! They don't differ much from eachother, this one was fortunate enough to have received all info two-fold. So yes, it has 4 legs, 4 arms, and two heads, etc. Because of this, it is more likely that his twin brother is passed out on the sofa once in a while. Furthermore this one is the only one of the bunch that sends all outgoing emails.

Strenght in numbers. Many hands make light work. My deformed twin brother had some difficulty with controlling all of his limbs, so I have decided to sell my coffeeshop and help him. Together we are responsibe for numerous calculations, and displaying millions of internet pages a day. Entertaining the masses, that is what our superiors say. What it means exactly, I don't have the slightest of ideas... Nonetheless we will send that data (more than 1,000 GB per month).

De static server is responsible for all the static content, such as images and layout files. Static content, is simply there, it does not change and only needs to be displayed to the user. This server is the oldest of the lot, a little stiff, and a little forgetful - that is why he is perfect for the job. The new Camorra World Engine also permits you to load static content from your own PC, making life even easier for this fella. Moreover, loading content from your own PC will go a lot quicker. The twins always try to act cool about data traffic, but i'm largely responsible for that.

Playground is where all the fun and games happen on Camorra World. The items that run here include Multiplayer Poker, the IRC server and some other small applications. This server may also be used for the further development of Camorra World at times, so that the twins don't get disturbed. In the future this server will be used to launch new features that are linked to Camorra World. Since this server is used for development, it may be that this server is inaccessible at times, without prior notification. Our apologies for that.
